i want to post here again?

the case of the MIAs

wow! the last posting is dated 2006! we totally skipped 2 years of postings.

oh well .. i blame it on msn, facebook and shikin's return to sunny sg. then blame it again on msn ... :p what? i have to explain? only if you beg.. on one knee.. with a bouquet of a dozen roses..

huh? tak nak layan? fine! i logout now! eh no .. i want to continue posting. huh? tak nak baca? fine! you leave. heh.

okay. untuk siapa2 yang masih tercongok depan pc membaca entri ni.

oh my! where do i begin? i am not going to recap all of the things that have happened in the 2 years that we haven't update. that will require hundreds of posts.

i will just say what is important here since the contributors to this blog have been only the 4 persons. so, what's important to just the 4 of us je lah kan? :p between the shikin, zahar and me, there have been 3 births. all 3 within a few months' apart from each other's. the funny thing was, i was the first to get pregnant but the last to be found out among the three of us. hee...

during those times, we had communicated almost everyday via msn. somehow the timezone factor had really been a plus point especially for shikin and me. on my nightshifts, i would be kept company by shikin who would be in the office. on other days, it's from 5-6pm for me at home all the way - with intervals - till shikin knocks off at the office.

at about the same time of shikin's return to singapore, facebook came into the picture for the many of us. a few meet-ups ensued thereafter, not to mention also the dramas that fb brought amongst my own circle of friends. haha.

back at my office, msn got blocked and i had to rely on fb's chat. although, its idiosyncracies were a pain in the arse, at least it got us in touch a fair bit. but not for long, chatting on fb in the office is no longer allowed. prompting the now chatless-mode me to go hunting of other modes of communicating. so what do i do? here i am. back to square one and blogging again.

you've been warned. bwahahahah.

incidentally, i had a quick chat with shikin just few days back. she posed me a curious question. i hadn't asked her although i was puzzled as to why she asked me what she did. she must be asking because she found the phrase here!

"muka step" tu apa? what, woman? are you telling me that you've only read that entry now? dah nak dekat 3 tahun sey entri tu ... sheesh ... :p

the meeting to start it all

full carpark notwithstanding, the meeting finally materialised at downtown east's mcdonald's which is another matter i am going to give you full account of, don't worry.

after 2 days of e-mails and sms-es of meeting place and time, complete with meeting agenda (courtesy of ex-president sani). i got a call the afternoon before from the ZBM.

ZBM in her sweetest tolong-aku-please voice, "kampung eden macam sikit punya jauh ah nak drive dari airport."

"Ok lah, you name the place. i do this only for you hor!", the yuRa said.

flash forward to meeting time the yuRa tied-up-with-work text galpals to send lateness-alert. got call from the nice rene to ask me if i needed a lift. thanks sweetie! i had to decline lah of course, else we will all be freakin' late while the sani was already munching away outside choice restaurant.

1/2 an hour later.

"eh carpark full lah!" the exasperated yuRa over the phone checking on the already-present posse.

ZBM with full nonchalance, "kau park lah kat tepi!"

kau tengok? kau tengok? inikah balasanku??? *throws hand in air in prayer ala ala mak dara in ibu mertuaku* drama jugak aku ni

in the end, sampai jugak aku dengan selamat sejahteranya. alhamdulilah.

the meeting quickly ensued.

i didn't capture those moments. trust me, the sani was hard at it with pen in hand jotting down what needs be done and whatnots (macam time dia president perbayu dulu). while the other three i.e. rene, ZBM and who eh? .. ooh the yuRa.. were busy digressing and wisecracking during and in between meeting agendas. oklah oklah. it was just yuRa (macam time yuRa dulu-dulu) who was wisecracking. but rene and ZBM also laughed and laughed ok? very distracting you know.

to give you proof that there was indeed a meeting at the choice restaurant.

4 ladies and a little boy(sani's son who really is mr sani's cucu. heh)

don't worry you all, we had some things sorted out at the end of the meet.

wait lah. if you cannot wait to know what's going on, you can come join us as a member of the organising team. not easy ok. got to give speech all. *looks at ex-president*
